how do sites protect against multiple players at the same table chatting over Aim or yahoo instant messangers about what cards the have, dumping, etc...or do they?

They cant. . . If you are smart about it.

However they have programs that watch these sort of things. Say I am talking to a buddy on yahoo and I have KK and he has AA. He raises, and I fold. Red flag will be put on your two accounts.

Now if you are using it on a smaller scale advantage. Lets say I have pkt 8's and you have K-8, there is no real reason to play my 8's anymore. A fold won't cause anyone flags.

Someone else may be able to explain a bit more in detail later.

They also take screenshots of your computer, if you have party or empire you can go into the file and actually see the shots that they have taken.

i i wouldnt do that i think its bullshit, but i was at a table and 3 others were talking over yahoo, two of them were on the cell phone so i left. had the ynot ran there mouth i wouldnt have known but it was fishy anyway.
